ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  MARCH 2018 - PRESENT

Founded in 1924 this AW Tillnghast design is well regarded as one of the best courses in New York and ranks in the top 100

classic courses in America. The membership of 250 play approximately 14,000 rounds.

 

— Involved in all aspects of helping to run and organize the golf operation.

 

— Work Closely with the Head Professional and Governing Members on a daily basis.

 

— Responsible for helping to instruct the membership and run the junior golf program.

THE COUNTRY CLUB OF NEW CANAAN,  NEW CANAAN, CT

1ST ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  SPRING 2009—2017

INTERIM GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  OCTOBER 2017—JANUARY 2018

Founded in 1893 this Willie Park Jr. design is home to 375 golf members and approximately 500 members in total. They play

nearly 12,000 rounds per year. The club has a rich sense of tradition that is well balanced with up to date technologies.

 

— Responsible for all daily operations as Interim Head Professional.

— Golf Instruction through private lessons, ladies’ clinics, and golf schools. Lesson participation and revenue
   increased every season.

— Restructured the entire Junior Golf Program in 2013. New program has met with great support

   and satisfaction from the membership. Participation has increased over 400% in some areas.

— Assisted with all aspects of a tournament program of over 70 events.

— Responsible for the set up of a new golf shop’s inventory processes, special ordering, and member

   billing. The golf shop’s gross revenue is over $350,000.

— Actively sought education opportunities for myself and staff members in order to elevate the

   knowledge base and keep current with emerging trends in the golf world.

THE MILL RIVER CLUB,  OYSTER BAY, NY

1ST ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  SPRING 2006—FALL 2008

Established in 1963 the Mill River Club has 325 members playing an average of 15,000 annual rounds. Mill River

boasts one of the best practice facilities on the North Shore of Long Island.

 

— Charged with all aspects of Ladies Golf, including holding a seat on the golf committee and

   being actively involved in all meetings.

— Working with the Golf Chairman, developed a new handbook to consolidate all important

   information regarding the golf operation.

 

 

 

LAUREL LINKS COUNTRY CLUB,  LAUREL, NY

1ST ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  SPRING 2005—FALL 2005

 

Opening in 2002 the golf course was quickly recognized as one of the more challenging tracks on the east end of Long Island.

A Kelly Blake Moran design that has played host to a US Open local qualifier as well as many Metropolitan Section events.

 

 

 

 

SILVER SPRING COUNTRY CLUB,  RIDGEFIELD, CT

1ST ASSISTANT/INTERIM MANAGING PROFESSIONAL,  SPRING 2003—FALL 2004

The quintessential “club in the country”; this club was founded in 1930 and while it has an active membership the club still does not use tee times. The junior golf program is active as this is a very family oriented club. A Robert White designed golf course that will test even the most skilled golfer.

 

— During the time the Head Professional was incapacitated due to illness, I assumed responsibility

   for the entire golf operation

— Responsible for the scheduling, supervision and recruiting of twelve members of the golf staff

— Off-Season Golf Schools: In February of 2004 I took members to Portugal for a week long golf

   school and then a different group in December of 2004 to Palm Springs.

 

 

 

 

WESTCHESTER COUNTRY CLUB,  RYE, NY

ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL,  1999—2002

 

Established in 1922 the intent was to create a sportsman’s paradise and the club has certainly held true to the founding goals. Boasting two 18 hole golf courses and a 9 hole par three course. The West course designed by Walter Travis has been home to a PGA Tour Event since the early 1960s. An ample driving range and short game are round out the golf facilities. The 950 member families play an average of 40,000 rounds between the two courses. Westchester CC has a rich history and continues to be a leader in the golf world.

 

— Extra responsibility of managing Accounts Payable. This included all phases of the accounts from

   invoice management to check writing.

— Assisted with the organization and running of a golf school in Spain for 13 of our members.
